Caro Lundin - BA (Hons) Architecture, MArch, DipArch, ARB
Caro Lundin is an architect and designer based in London. She is a strong believer in collaboration and believes that design should affect all of the senses. Using colour, form and texture within an interior is only half of the story. Enhancing it through sound, performance, art, light through collaboration with creatives from all fields is what can create truly remarkable results.
Her substantial experience encompasses many aspects of design that don’t ordinarily cross an architects path; she has been awarded a RIBA prize for her Bundle Bench, has designed retail furniture for manufacture across all global regions and undertaken flagship retail and office designs for multinational corporations, all of which show her ability to deliver solutions for complex and challenging briefs. At the same time, she has adhered to a very personal vision about the purpose of design, helping to sculpt start ups and ideate new one off concepts combining her architectural knowledge with a real understanding of how spaces are used by people; how they should be planned, organised and decorated to properly reflect a concept and bring it to life in a way that makes it work both operationally for the client and as a place that people enjoy using.
As well as working in her practice, Caro taught at Oxford Brookes university, lectures on architecture and is active in the Hackney community promoting gender equality and mentoring young women, encouraging them to pursue careers.
